It has been several months since my last newsletter, and I wanted to send one out to let everyone know what I’ve been up to since then, how the book launch went, and some new projects I’ve been working on over the past few months.
Hellenistic Astrology Book Reviews and Interviews
The release of my book, Hellenistic Astrology: The Study of Fate and Fortune, in February was success! The book has been reviewed in most of the major journals and magazines over the past few months, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
I collected together snippets from some of the different reviews, as well as links to interviews that I’ve done about the book on various podcasts, in this post.
Readers sent in pictures of the book being read in different places around the world, and I built a gallery of these pictures here.
I have shifted things so that most sales of the book are being handled through Amazon at this point, although I still have a package deal where you can get a free copy of the book when you sign up for my online course on Hellenistic astrology, and all US orders are signed and sent out directly from me.
New Astrology Videos on YouTube
One of the things I’ve been interested in doing for years is producing more videos on astrology, and after the book was finished I decided to revive my old channel on YouTube, re-branded it, and then started consistently posting videos there each week. You can find my new channel at:
The channel is called The Astrology School, and the goal is to do something similar to what I’ve been doing with The Astrology Podcast, except with video.
There has been a bit of a learning curve to doing video, but I’m starting to get the hang of it, and so far the results and feedback have been great. Here are some of the videos I’ve made so far:

New Online Course Site
Over the past few months I successfully migrated my online courses to a new website, which is TheAstrologySchool.com. This site is meant to work together with my YouTube channel, so that people can get a sense for my teaching style and watch some of my free videos on YouTube, and if they want to learn more they can sign up for one of my online courses.

I have continued to expand and refine the courses that I offer, especially my online course on Hellenistic astrology, which I have been adding some new videos and workshops to over the past few months.
We recently started a series where we are reading from different ancient texts like Vettius Valens, and talking through some of the example charts he uses, all in a live webinar format. In our next webinar this weekend we will review Valens’ treatment of zodiacal releasing.
Expanding The Astrology Podcast
Since finishing the book earlier this year I have gotten back to producing episodes of The Astrology Podcast again regularly, and I’ve been able to record some really great episodes over the past few months.

Over the past several months Leisa Schaim and I have also been recording a 45-minute podcast each month where we present the four best electional charts we can find. We call this the Auspicious Elections Podcast.

I also offer a number of other subscriber benefits through Patreon, like book giveaways, early access to new episodes, and higher quality recordings. I’m also planning on starting a new private podcast soon called The Casual Astrology Podcast, which will be available to patrons on the $10 tier.
UAC Workshop in Chicago on Advanced Profections
In other news, everyone is starting to gear up for the the United Astrology Conference, which is set to take place in Chicago May 24-29, 2018.
This is going to be the biggest conference of the decade, with more than a hundred leading astrologers giving lectures, and as many as two thousand astrologers in attendance.
I will be giving two talks at the conference, as well as a post-conference workshop on an ancient timing technique known as annual profections.
I will be teaching an advanced method of profections in this workshop that can be used to determine how different parts of a person’s life will go in a given year, and whether they are liable to meet with fortunate or unfortunate events in those specific areas.
